You will be presented with 5 New York Times headlines from the same print newspaper. Your job is to guess the exact print date in as few guesses as possible.
Example
Men walk on the moon as a global audience watches
Astronauts step onto the lunar surface as viewers around the world watch the broadcast.
Each time you make a guess, the next headline and its lede will open automatically.
With each new headline comes an additional guess for up to 5 guesses.
The month, day, and year turn green when they are exact. They turn yellow when they are 1 unit away on either side, and gray otherwise.
Each part of the date gets its own hint. Earlier means the correct component of the date is earlier. Later means the correct component of the date is later.
For example, if the correct print date was July 7th 1986, and you guessed May 8th 1985 it would look like this:
